Create a Vision for Your Business, Career and Life

Creating your life vision

Do you often feel like your business, career, or life are just not quite on the right track? Have you promised yourself for months (or even years) that this month you are going to make some serious changes but you just aren’t sure what those changes need to be?

Do you want more time, money and energy? Are you asking yourself what changes you need to make to finally make some real progress? And yet, even when you decide on the changes that you want to implement, they still do not happen.

We all need a little help shaping our lives, business and careers. I’ve been there myself and I know it can be overwhelming.

You must be willing to take action if you want to experience the life you desire. You can create a vision that encompasses your passion in life and the gifts you have come to share.

If you had a clear vision for your year, what would it be? What does it look like? What does it feel like?

Being a successful entrepreneur is not easy. It takes motivation, determination, resilience, and the right strategies to get you where you want to go in life. You can achieve that by changing your focus and habits, taking action, and learning how to prioritize.

Life is not a dress rehearsal so create your vision of what you really want and then take inspired action steps to attract it to you.

Create a vision board of your dreams and hang it where you will see it daily. Think big. Focus on what you want and not what you don’t want. Write down your goals and what you want to accomplish in the next twelve months.

Begin by brainstorming, yes you must write it down to bring clarity, to make it real.

The first brainstorming session should be free flowing, don’t edit your thoughts or ideas. Visualize what you want, what you are passionate about, what you enjoy doing and what excites you. Think of your ideal life, from the moment you wake up in the morning until you go to bed at night, and then use words that describe it.

Write down all your thoughts, ideas, inspirations and let them run free. After you have listed everything on paper, take another look at it and make sure that this is the life that you want to live. If so then start putting together your ideal life which will include all the areas that excite you – work, home and social life.

We all want to be wealthier, happier and overall more fullfilled in our lives, but if you think about some of the wealthiest and most successful people in history one common thread emerges: they all did what they really wanted to do. So why not place yourself on a path where every day brings you closer to doing what brings you the most fullfilment?

For example:

I want to see clients in three different specialties plus passive income revenue streams.

I will work five days a week between noon and six devoting the rest of the day to self-care, gardening, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.

I will make 100,000 a year and take 5 weeks vacation throughout the year.

I want a profitable and fullfilling holistic health practice.

I love to learn so I will spend 3 weeks a year in educational workshops and training programs to advance my career and myself.

Imagine saying to yourself:

For me, life is a series of wonderful moments.

I have created my dreams, and the life that I want to live. Of course, it’s not perfect. There are challenges every day, including unexpected events and circumstances that require my attention. I deal with them by focusing on what I can control and letting go of what is beyond my control.

I have reduced my stress by making changes at home and not worrying about the rest of the stuff in life that isn’t important.

I get up every morning with the intention of having a positive, productive day, so I can then look forward to a positive night’s sleep.

I have learned to stop comparing myself to others and focusing on the positive and on the things that are really important to me. I have learned to be comfortable with who I am and to trust my intuition, and focus on what is really important.

I have redesigned my home to be bright and airy, and created a beautiful garden where I can grow my organic vegetables.

Your mind is like a garden: you can allow it to be a weed patch, or you can make it beautiful. And the more beautiful and positive your thoughts, the more positive and beautiful your life will become.

What do you want to create in the coming year? A thriving home business, a healthy diet, or simply more time to relax and enjoy life?
